Facelift Before & After Photos
Case Number: 51
|Before facelift||After facelift|
This Toronto-area woman was troubled not only by droopy upper eyelids, but also by deep lines and sagging skin around her cheeks, mouth, and neck areas. She desired cosmetic surgery to refresh the look of her eyes and tighten her facial tissues and skin, revealing a more youthful appearance. In her consultation, Dr. Rival assessed the thickness, texture, and elasticity of her skin, and discussed the benefits and different options for face lift in Toronto.
Deep lines and sagging skin are often the effects of aging, but they can be surgically improved with a face lift, or "rhytidectomy." In a traditional face lift, Dr. Rival begins the incision in the hairline at the temples, continues around the ear, and ends at the lower scalp in order to eliminate excess fat and skin from the face (and in some cases the jowls and neck) and reposition and lift underlying tissue and muscles. Often, a second incision under the chin is necessary to improve the look of the neck further. This patient received a traditional facelift along with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).
She is happily enjoying the results of her cosmetic surgery procedures in Toronto. Her face lift created a clearly smoother, more appealing contour for her face and neck. Dr. Rival's rhytidectomy procedure has nearly eliminated her undesired lines while lifting and smoothing her sagging tissues, as you can see in her post-operative photos. After her procedures, this woman's face now glows with youth and energy.
