This Toronto-area man wanted to correct the excess skin in his neck to give better definition to his jaw line. In his consultation, he explained that he wanted his Toronto cosmetic surgery procedure to remove the extra tissue around his chin and jaw, which was giving him and older, flabbier look. The patient explained that he wanted a sharper and more attractive jaw line, so Dr. Rival examined his face and explained a few options that could accomplish his goals.

A normal facelift focuses on the mid-face rather than the jaw area, but Dr. Rival suggested a lower facelift, which tightens the facial tissues at and just above the jaw line. For patients who have excess tissues at the neck as well as the jaw, Dr. Rival offers combination procedures that remove fatty tissues at the neck and tighten up the area around the jaw.

This patient was happy with how his lower facelift improved the contour of his jaw and chin and helped smooth out his neck. In the before picture, his lower face has a lumpy look created by sagging excess tissues, and there is no clear transition between his jawline and his neck. After his surgery with Toronto facial plastic surgeon Dr. Rival, we see significant improvement in his skin smoothness and the definition of his jawline. Now, while his cheeks retain their natural contour, their curve is higher. His skin also appears much firmer.
